Munsiyari is the base for trek ot Milam, Ralam and namik glaciers. Milam is the biggest glacier of Kumaon and is situated at a height of 4267 mts. The ten days trek ot Milan from Munsiyari & back involves 116 kms walk along the Johar Valley through Darkot Lilam Bugdiayr and the last India Village Milam. Enroute one encounters many of nature's wonders including close views of 52 hige Peaks surronding "Johar" valley. Another fascinating ten days terk from Munsiyari is to the Nanda Devi base camp. And many more Himalayan programmes. One can Ski down numerous Himalayan passes or Paraglid these valleys in summer.

RHODODENDRON & PANCHACHULI : Have you ever seen the gardens of flowering tree. Yes it is a splendid time in Munsiyari between March-April, when the whole jungle burns red with Rhododendron flowers with gardens-gardes of Rhododendron trees haveing pink, red, dark pink and white flowers, combining the Panchachuli Peak.
BETULIDHAR:
"A big garden of Rhododendron." A clicking point at the sunset when the whole range turns carved gold and a beautful skiing slope in winters.
BALATI FARM:A Govt. Potato farm convering acres of land to grow high vielding variety of potato seeds, is a good camping site for Khaliya Top trek.
THAMARI KUND:A pictures natural lake surrounded by Paper Trees, a natural habitat of Musk Deer. The 8 kms trek through the surrounding forested landscape interlaced with Bugiyals to Thamari Kund could leave the young and the old quite excited seeking soft adventure.
NANDADEVI TEMPLE:A refreshing trek of 3 kms to the Temple from ZARA RESORTS. One can enjoy horse riding on this trek.
KHALIYA TOP:Higher still at 12,000 ft is the amzing Khaliya Top. Thus named for its tremendous views, its fabulous Bugiyals (alpine meadows).The Khaliya Top shelters a wide skiiing slope that runs teh entire length of the range. It can be trekked form many sides.
FLORA & FAUNA:The lower ranges come alive during spring with birds and blossoms. At lower altitudes we see Jays, the whistling thrush, finches, wagtails, teetar pheasants, the exquisite Monal. Leopards mountain bear and the elusive Monal. Leopards panthers mountain bear and the elusive Musk deer found only in Munsiyari region make spotting wild life.
The forests are luxuriant mix of pine, deodar, oak, spruce, cypress and the flowering rhododendron lots of rare herbs and the also the morcilla (Gucchi)
HANDICRAFTS & FESTIVALS: Almost every village is rich with handicrafts. Hand woven Woolen Carpets, Pashmina Shawls and Thulmas can turnout to be lovable purchases.
Also the handmade mats called Mushta of local Ringal (Bamboo). The handmade mats called on the Dhole Flute & Hurka local musical instuments.
