Itinerary
Day 01 : Madurai - Arrive Madurai, on arrival transfer to the hotel. In the
afternoon visit the main attraction and famous temple known as Meenakshi
temple, Temple Art Museum which is Tirumalai Nayak Palace, Maraiammam Tank.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 : Madurai - After breakfast go for full day excursion to
Rameshwaram - Temple of Lord Shiva. The hindu who visits Varanasi completes his
pilgrimage by going to the holy city of Rameshwaram. Rest of the time is free
for leisure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 : Madurai - Thanjavur - After breakfast depart for Thanjavur(140
Kms/04 hours) via Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple(Srirangam) and Shiva Temple at
Tiruvanaikaval, Samayapuram Temple. On arrival transfer to hotel. Rest of the
time free for leisure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 04 : Thanjavur - Mahabalipuram via Chidambaram - After breakfast
depart to Mahabalipuram(60 Kms/02 hours), en-route stop to visit Chidambaram,
famous for its Nataraja Temple dedicated to Shiva. On arrival at Mahabalipuram
transfer to the hotel. Rest of the time free or one can also enjoy in beach.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 05 : Mahabalipuram - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram - After breakfast
at the hotel, depart for full day excursion to Kanchipuram which is 65 Kms and
Mahabalipuram, Kanchipuram, the Golden Town of a Thousand Temples and one of
the 7 sacred Hindu cities in India whose temples date back to the 7th and 8th
centuries. Later proceed to Mahabalipuram. Mahabalipuram is virtually an open
air museum of sculpture in living rock. Later proceed to Kanchipuram, the
"Golden town of a Thousands Temples". Evening transfer to Mahabalipuram. Dinner
and overnight at the hotel.
Day 06 : Mahabalipuram - Chennai - After breakfast at the hotel, depart
for Chennai, for your onward destinations.
