Itinerary
Day 01 : Delhi - Arrive Delhi international airport, meet, assist and
transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon proceed on a half day tour of Old
Delhi including the Red Fort and the Jama Masjid. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 02 : Mandawa - In the morning drive to Mandawa(6 hours drive)
through the colourful hustle & bustle of Rajasthan's countryside. On arrival in
Mandawa, you will be transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight in Mandawa.
Day 03 : Mandawa - This day you have a chance to explore the painted
houses of the Shekhavati region. Overnight in Mandawa.
Day 04 : Bikaner - In the morning drive to the imposing walled city of
Bikaner(4 hours drive). Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Bikaner.
Day 05 : Bikaner - Morning excursions to the Deshnok, to visit the Karni
Mata temple(popularly known as Temple of Rats). In the afternoon you will be
taken on a half day city tour of the Junagarh Fort, the museum and Laxmi
Narayan temple. Overnight in Bikaner.
Day 06 : Jaisalmer - In the morning drive to Jaisalmer(8.5 hours drive).
Arrive Jaisalmer by late afternoon and check into your hotel. Overnight in
Jaisalmer.
Day 07 : Jaisalmer - In the morning your city sightseeing will include
the Gadisar Lake, fort and havelis. In the evening you will visit the sand
dunes of the Thar desert. Experience a camel ride through the dunes. Overnight
in Jaisalmer.
Day 08 : Jodhpur - Early morning drive to Jodhpur(8 hours drive). Arrive
Jodhpur and check into your hotel. Later in the afternoon, proceed on a half
day city tour including the imposing Mehrangarh fort, Jaswant Thada, Museum and
the Old city. Overnight in Jodhpur.
Day 09 : Udaipur - Today drive to Udaipur(7 hours drive) en-route
shopping at Ranakpur - one of the best known Jain temples in India. Arrive
Udaipur and check into your hotel. In the evening enjoy a boat ride on Lake
Pichola. Overnight in Udaipur.
Day 10 : Udaipur - Jaipur - Morning City sightseeing including City
Palace Jagdish temple, Museum and Sahelion Ki Bari or 'Maids of Honour'. In the
afternoon transfer to the airport to board your flight to Jaipur. On arrival in
Jaipur, meet assist and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 11 : Jaipur - This morning drive to Amber where you will ride on
elephant back to the fort, perched on a hill over Maota Lake. En-route drive
past Hawa Mahal - the Palace of Winds. In the afternoon visit the splendid City
Palace and Jantar Mantar - the astronomical observatory. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 12 : Agra - Drive to Agra(5 hours drive) via Fatehpur Sikri, the
deserted red sandstone city which Mughal Emperor Akbar built as his capital in
the 16th century and abandoned just 15 years later. On arrival, check into your
hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Agra.
Day 13 : Agra - In the morning visit the Taj Mahal, the massive Agra
fort and the tomb of Itmad-ud-daulah. Overnight in Agra.
Day 14 : Delhi - In the morning drive to Delhi(4 hours drive). On
arrival in Delhi, check into your hotel. In the afternoon, proceed on a half
day tour of New Delhi, the capital designed by Lutyens and characterised by
wide, tree-lined avenues and magnificient colonial buildings. Drive past India
Gate, the President's Palace and visit the Qutub Minar. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 15 : Delhi - Transfer to the airport to board flight for your onward
destination.
