The Nor-Khill, of the Elgin heritage group of hotels in the state of Sikkim in eastern Himalayas at Gangtok, known for its traditions, unchanged characteristics and ethnic Sikkimese ambiance. Once the royal guest house of the Chogyal dynasty of Sikkim. The entire decor of the Nor-Khill is in Sikkimese ethnic style. Sikkimese Thankas, traditional carpets, wall hangings and lucky signs prevail throughout. The Jewel Garden has rare varieties of Orchids, shrubs and roses and overlooks Mount Kanchenjungha. Relax and enjoy an air of quiet dignity.

Restaurant :

Whether it is a hearty meal at mid day with sunlight streaming in through the glass windows or the finest traditional cuisine for dinner with the barely discernible aroma of exotic spices in the air, the Shangri La restaurant is the place for eating out in style at Gangtok

The Dragon Bar : Cozy and quaint. It is well stocked and one can experience a large range of Sikkimese ethnic drinks namely Tongba (Millet Fermented Beer). The Bar is designed tastefully in ethnic Sikkimese decor - An Experience.

The lobby is resplendent in the bright folk art, design motif depicting dragons and flame symbols to thankas, the ornate bachu and chocsue and traditional jewellery available at an in-house curio shop.
