Khirsu (40 kms) at a height of 1700 Mts. is a very beautiful town and the adjoining thick oak and deodar forests make it more serene. The apple orchards are a big attraction here. The snow-laden mountains of Khirsu are a major attraction in winters. Pauri (30Kms.) Situated at an elevation of about 1814Mts.above sea level on the northern slops of Kandoliya hills, Pauri district the headquarters provides a panoramic view of Bandarpunch, Swargrohini, Jonli, Gangotri Group, Jogin Group, Thalaiya Sagar, Barte Kanta, Kedarnath, Kharcha Kund, Sumeru, Satopanth, Chaukhamba, Nilkanth, Gauriparbat, Haatiparbat, Drongiri, Nanda Devi, Trishul. Places of interest around Pauri are Kandoliya (2 Kms.) Kyunkaleshwar Shiva Temple (3 Kms.), Ransi Stadium (3 Kms.), Nagdevta (3Kms.) a walk along 4 kms. Long road from Kandoliya to Buwakhal through oak and pine forests is really refreshing.Dhari Devi (22Kms.) Situated on the Srinagar-Badrinath highway on the bank of Alaknanda, Dhara Devi is believed to be the ancient "Kali-Sidh peeth". Tehri Dam (46 kms) is the tallest dam in Asia and the fourth tallest earth and rockfjll dam in the world sprawling over an area of 45 sq. kms in the Bhagirathi and Bhilangana valleys near Tehri town. It is expected to produce 2400 MW of electricity, provide irrigation and drinking water. The reservoir houses a 52sq.km lake, which in itself is a spectacle to see.

Mussoorie is located in the Garhwal hills. Due to its immense natural beauty, Mussoorie is known as the queen of hill stations. In 1820 Captain Young from the British army was influenced by the beauty of this place and made this place his residence. This marked the foundation of a hill station called Mussoorie. The name, Mussoorie, is derived from plants of 'Mussoorie' which were found in abundance here. After its discovery, this hill station gradually developed as a center of education, business, tourism and beauty.
Mussoorie is located at a height of 2,500 meters in the green Himalayan range. Due to its location and beauty Mussoorie is considered as the best hill station in the northern region. The modern bungalows, malls and well laid gardens which are located on the small hills around the area are enough to attract any tourist.
Mussoorie is an excellent respite for tourists and people who want relief from the hot sultry conditions of the plains. Nature has gifted Mussoorie everything which makes a place beautiful. With the onset of summers tourists start coming here.
As heat increases in the plains number of tourist inflow also increases proportionately. Mussoorie is very close to Delhi, its overnight journey and one can return in one day .
