Itinerary
Day 01 : Delhi - Arrive Delhi International Airport. Meet assist and
transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, a half day tour of Old Delhi,
including Red Fort and Jama Masjid. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 02 : Delhi - Jaipur - In the morning, proceed on a half day tour of
New Delhi, the capital designed by Lutyens and characterised by wide tree-lined
avenues and magnificient colonial buildings. Drive past India Gate, the
President's Palace and visit the Qutub Minar. In the afternoon drive to
Jaipur(5.5 hours drive). On arrival check into your hotel. Rest of the day at
leisure. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 03 : Jaipur - This morning drive to Amber where you will ride on
elephant back to the Fort. En-route you will see the Palace of The Winds(Hawa
Mahal). In the afternoon visit the splendid City Palace and Jantar Mantar - the
astronomical observatory. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 04 : Agra - Drive to Agra(5 hours drive) via Fatehpur Sikri, the
deserted red sandstone city which Mughal Emperor Akbar built as his capital in
the 16th century and abandoned just 15 years later. On arrival in Agra check
into your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Agra.
Day 05 : Agra - In the morning proceed for a half day tour of Agra city,
visiting the Taj Mahal - the massive Agra Fort and the tomb of Itmad-ud-daulah.
Overnight in Agra.
Day 06 : Agra - Khajuraho - Morning at leisure. Later transfer to the
airport for your flight to Khajuraho. On arrival in Khajuraho, meet, assist and
transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Khajuraho.
Day 07 : Khajuraho - This morning, a half day tour of the intricately
carved erotic sculptures of the Chandela dynasty set in the center of this
small town. Overnight in Khajuraho.
Day 08 : Varanasi - Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to
Varanasi. Arrive Varanasi, meet, assist and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the
day at leisure. Overnight in Varanasi.
Day 09 : Varanasi - In the morning drive to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha
preached his first sermon. Later explore Varanasi city with its myriad temples
and museum. Overnight in Varanasi.
Day 10 : Varanasi - Delhi - Early morning boat ride along the River
Ganges and see the famous bathing ghats where the gathered faithfuls ritually
clean themselves. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport to
board your flight to Delhi for your onward connections.
