Location :
Kasauli is located in the North Indian state of Himachal Pradesh and is connected via Rail to Kalka, or by Air to either Chandigarh or Shimla. It is situated just off the Chandigarh-Shimla highway with regular coach and taxi service.
Access :
Railway Connections : This easiest way to get to Kasauli from the plains is via Indian Railways. The nearest Railway station is kalka 38(km) and from there it takes around 45 minutes by taxi or coach to reach Kasauli. Alternately, one can take the small Mountain train from Kalka to solan and use a coach or taxi to reach Kasauli from there. This is a very pleasant option since the train passes through some scenic locations and goes through ta number of tunnels.
Airline Connections : Kasauli can be reached by flying to either Chandigarh or Simla. From the Chandigarh airport, Kasauli is around 1 hour 30 minutes by coach / taxi and from Simla it is approximately 75 kilometers.
Road Journey : Kasauli is around 300 kilometers from New Delhi. The journey from Delhi passes through Sonipat, Panipat, Ambala, Chandigarh, Kalka amongst others. It is an enjoyable drive taking upto 6 hours and going through some of the important towns of North India.
Sightseeing :
Kasauli provides visitors with a variety of options. For those who just want to relax, the long peaceful walks and the visits to the local mall is quite enthralling. Whereas, for the more adventurous,
try Monkey Point. Sanawar School, Sabathu and other neighboring attractions serve as exciting getaways.

of the famous Himalayan peaks on a clear day.
